About Us Lochgilphead Webspinners is Mid Argyll based and operates on a purely voluntary basis. We have no income or funding but operate on the premise that if it is free to us it is free to the client. We have some spare web site capacity which we can make available, free of charge, to Voluntary Organisations operating in the County of Argyll. There are some Lochgilphead Domain names which we use for this work and normally your site address would be - http://www.lochgilphead.org.uk/yourname/index.html - or similar. If an organisation requires its own domain name we may be able to use it but it would have to be transferred to our server and the client would be responsible for any registration and transfer costs. Domain names need not be expensive but have to be registered. Our Policy We only accept commissions from registered voluntary organisations which operate within the County of Argyll. We do not accept commissions for sites that are for commercial or political purposes, or have a controversial content. Organisations requiring these type of sites are advised to approach a professional web design company. All sites must be accepted by the client before they are made available for public viewing and if public contact is required organisations must have their own valid email contact address placed on the site. All email addresses will be encoded to stop spamming. |
